My basic training

I graduated in 1994 here at KU Leuven as a doctor in medicine and obstetrics. I hold the ECG certificate since 1994. As a young doctor I first wanted to explore the world.

International work experience

Work experience in general surgery, orthopedics, emergency medicine, nose throat ears, neurosurgery and plastic surgery in various hospitals in the United Kingdom between 1994 and 1999. 

Work experience in Belgium 

Project Leader Research & Development in the pharmaceutical industry at the compacy Servier. There I carried out projects from Brussels base in the Benelux and Denmark between 2000 and 2002.

Further training in Belgium 

Master of Family Medicine at KU Leuven 2003.
Master of Youth Health Care, Interuniversity KU Leuven, UGent, UA and VUB 2006.

Further work experience in Belgium

Youth doctor ‘CLB’ and prevention doctor ‘Child and Family’ until April 2013.
Work experience in general practice from 2002 to 2013 (replacements in various general practices).

In April 2013 I started my own general practice ‘Kriekenbos’, where I have been working full-time since as a general practitioner.
