How much does a consultation cost?

A consultation of 15 minutes during the day costs 30 euros. You will be reimbursed part of this from your health insurance. You pay 4 euros from “your own pocket” if you resort to the regular reimbursement category and also have your GMD with us. A consultation of 15 minutes in the evening after 6 pm costs 34 euros. You will be reimbursed part of this from your health insurance. You pay 4 euros from your own pocket if you resort to the regular reimbursement category and also have your GMD with us. You pay 10,32 euros out of your own pocket for an evening consultation after 6 pm if you do not have your GMD with us.

A nightly consultation by the ‘General Practitioner on call’ costs 58,77 euros. You will be reimbursed partly by your health insurance. It is also possible to have the consult by the GP on call invoiced directly to your health insurance and then you pay 6 euros on the spot. Such direct invoicing to your health insurance is only possible when, you are correctly insured by a Belgian health insurance and for an adult, you have your electronic ID card with you or for children their kids-ID or ISI+ card. If not, you have to pay on the spot the 58,77 euros for the night consultation and then arrange the reimbursement yourself with your health insurance.

A consultation which is not reimbursed by the Belgian RIZIV such as a consultation for life insurance or for a mortgage loan costs for every 15 minutes of consultation 30 euros during the day and 34 euros in the evening after 6 pm.

A home visit during the day costs 43,19 euros.

A home visit in the evening after 6 pm costs 53,44 euros.

A nightly home visit by the ‘GP on call’ costs 97 euros.

For technical treatments, on top of the price for the consultation, an additional fee is charged. You will be reimbursed partly by your health insurance. You can consult an extensive list of price rates in the waiting room of our practice.

Some common technical treatments:

  • For cryotherapy eg. treating warts with the cryopen, you pay an additional 6,7 euros. This amount will be fully reimbursed by your RIZIV health insurance.
  • You pay a 5,63 euros surcharge for a smear. This amount will be fully reimbursed by your RIZIV health insurance.

Note: As from the approval for “forfaitaire geneeskunde” (scheduled sometime in the first half of 2024), the care and technical services provided by our “medisch huis” will become free of charge except for lab tests (the lab will send you a bill payable by you). Basic vaccines such as tetanus are available in the practice and are free of charge. Travel vaccines, however, you have to go and get them yourself and pay for them yourself at your pharmacy as well as your medicines.

How can I pay?

In our practice, we prefer being paid by Bancontact/Maestro or Payconiq. You can of course also pay cash.
